General Questions
What steps do you take to provide security for customer data?
Personal Financial Organizer is committed to keeping your data secure. We treat your data with as much care as we treat our own data. SSL encryption is used on pages where sensitive information is being passed. Unique usernames and passwords are required in order to gain access to any data. We will not sell or otherwise share any of your information with any 3rd parties without first gaining your consent.
Who exactly is Personal Financial Organizer?
As a small technology consulting company a few years ago, our staff became very frustrated with the frequent Customer complaints about having to learn Quickbooks and other software and their desire to just do what they love. New versions of QuickBooks were released, but always with the same learning headaches additionally, some staff members were using Mac computers creating it more difficult to train people on different platforms.
We decided the only way to properly address the issue was to build a application that required no learning curve that was our Paper book based product . Our customer asked for more and our staff loved the idea of providing the same as a web based application.
While reviewing the QuickBooks® message boards, we realized that many other small businesses were having the same problems we were. So we decided to make the application available for public use. We added many additional reporting features and different methods of  entry for ease of use. Personal Financial Organizer has since been spun off on its own and has been providing this valuable service for over 5 years now.
Can my company install Personal Financial Organizer on our own server?
Personal Financial Organizer is only available as a subscription based service. There are currently plans to offer the service as a standalone, downloadable application. A subscription based service allows us to make new enhancements immediately available to all users. Additionally it allows us to troubleshoot any technical issues more expeditiously with little delay in deployment.
What are Personal Financial Organizer's hours of support?
Our main hours of support are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm U.S. Eastern Time.
We do monitor our Web Site and email throughout the day, so please allow us 24 hours to respond to your Support, Sales and Suggestion emails.

Data Entry Questions
Once the data entry has been 'Entered', is there a way to change that entry?
After the data has been entered you can edit the same as needed. If multiple dates are to be adjusted we suggest that you total the amount in question and enter an new entry with a negative # so as to avoid tedious repetitious data entry we suggest you use the last day of any given month as an adjustment date.
In my weekly view, I have entries that show amounts. Why is this?
By clicking on that '0' on the amount  you may have created a record with no amount associated with this sale or expense you can edit this as necessary.
Why can't a zero dollars be entered as a legitimate cost for a sale?
You can enter zero or any negative number you choose.  Although logic dictates that a sale has not occurred if no exchange of funds has happened. The legal implications are outside of the scope of our application.
How do I delete a sale entry or a group of time entries?
Sale entries can be edited or deleted by navigating to the daily time entry from or by entering and equivalent negative amount anywhere within the day of the transaction or at month end.

Each user has the opportunity to adjust the days to save their unique category configuration entries in the profile page.
How do I see my password or what do I do if I forget my password?
The 'Forgot Your Password' link on the login page is the only time that your password is presented in visible form.  Your username and password will be sent to your email address provided it matches the email address you have given us in your profile.  It is x'ed out for security purposes otherwise.
Can I have an assistant password?

The answer is no, because the service is for individual use. Should you choose to share your password your financial information is open to that person we have not set up a way to keep track of changes made by anyone other than the password holder so should you choose to share your password your record will only be as accurate as the degree of care that person may have.

The GMT application was not originally developed with the intent of porting it to other servers, so this would require some custom development to get the system ready for use on a local server. Advantages of using Personal Financial Organizer as a centrally hosted application: A. You can access the service from anywhere in the world with a web connection. No special software needed. B. Any time we make an update to the software or add a new feature, it’s instantly available for you the next time you log in. No more annoying service packs or upgrades to download. C. A centralized service helps to keep our costs down which means we can offer the service to you at an extremely low price.
Does export to excel support ASCII?
All employees and their respective time entries are included in the same .If file each time you export. QuickBooks® reads the .If file and enters time for each user as included in the .If file. The .If file that is created each time you create an export file will contain only time entries that have not been previously included in an earlier export file and that have been marked 'Approved'. You can also set the date thru which the available time entries are included in the export file.
Do I need a web server? If not, how do I get the data imported and exported?
Sepfo.com has been designed as a remotely hosted service. You do not need to use your own web server. All data is uploaded to the site via your QuickBooks® .if file via a secure connection. When you're ready to bring time entries back into QuickBooks®, that data is exported into downloadable files. These files may be brought into QuickBooks® at any time.
How do I add employees?
